Boy oh boy! I've been busy with my business ( I help people/families with financial counseling, education and retirement savings). Things have picked up quite a bit! It's great my business is doing so well, but then comes the sacrifices. My knitting and quilting has gone on hiatus for a while. I have one quilt that is ready to be quilted...it's a baby quilt for a friend who just had her first baby. I was hoping to get that done before the baby came, but the way my schedule has been, I'm going to be giving it to her a little late. Congrats to Katie and Marc!
On top of all that, my sister has moved in with her two dogs. Let's say if I knew how to spin fibers, I'd have enough dog hair to spin a lot of skeins of yarn.
I also purchased this handy-dandy binder foot for quilts, but I have yet to try it out. I did however catalog my knitting needles on Ravelry.com. Very cool tools for all you knitters out there.
Well, until I can get some time to blog and share my projects, have fun all you creative people!

I miss you!
Life can get so busy. You forget what it means to relax sometimes. Then you realize that you haven't quilted or knitted a thing for more than a month! You look around and you see cluttered messes all over your sewing area. A sweater thrown there. Pants over your chair. Unfinished quilts piled on top of your sewing machine.
What happened? Sigh. Unfortunately that's life for you. Things happen all of a sudden and take you away on different paths. You decide to run marathons. Your business picks up. You pass out from businessness at the end of the day. You crawl-drag-kick yourself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning.
As soon as it can happen, this chick needs to get some rest.
